The Rev. Beth Scriven serves with our diocesan campus ministry, Rockwell House, located just a block from WashU. She is in her third year as the priest at Rockwell House, having moved to St. Louis in August of 2015 (just days ahead of the incoming class!). She previously served for seven years as the Associate Rector at St. Clare of Assisi Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, MI, where her favorite tasks were running the youth ministry program, directing musicals and pilgrimages, and keeping University of Michigan football
fans humble. (An Ohio native, Beth was fortunate to be there during a stretch when it was much more fun to be a Buckeye than a Wolverine.)
She received her M.Div. at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Illinois and her B.A. at Smith College in Massachusetts. Between degrees, Beth was lucky enough to spend a year as intern at Rockwell House, an experience that shaped the best of who she is as a priest now. Her great joys in life include cooking for others, watching old episodes of The West Wing and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, spending time with her family, and laughing at anything and everything.
