Brooklyn is back from Panama

This Sunday, we are re-joined by Brooklyn Payne. Earlier in the summer, Brooklyn returned after a year spent with the Young Adult Service Corps of The Episcopal Church serving at a at a girls home in Panama. In this role, she represented us from Holy Communion, Episcopalians in Missouri, and the whole Episcopal Church.

Brooklyn will preach at Holy Communion at both services on July 16th. She will also give a brief informal “adult forum” between the services (starting at 9:15am), showing pictures from her time in Panama.

Holy Communion was incredibly generous in support of Brooklyn’s mission. Together we raised over $10,000 to support her year abroad. Brooklyn is coming back to say “thank you.” Brooklyn’s time in Panama helped us, as a congregation, to discern we wanted a deeper connection to Central America. We’re moving forward with a partnership in El Salvador, where Brooklyn joined our group of pilgrims at the end of May.

We hope you can come and way “welcome home” to Brooklyn this Sunday!
