Holy Communion will host parish outing at Pere Marquette State Park & Lodge in Grafton, IL on Saturday, April 27 from 9 AM – 5 PM. We’ve reserved a large room at the lodge for games, crafts, lunch and just “hanging out.” In addition, we’ll also have a number of outdoor activities, including: hiking; cycling; nature talks; frisbee; and volleyball. Our own Rev. Marc Smith, who grew up in Alton, IL, will lead a tour and share stories of the river and the town that once called St. Louis a suburb and was a primary stop on the “underground railway,” and the site of one of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. Plan to bring your entire family for a day of fun and fellowship at one of the region’s most beautiful venues.
You can also book a room for Friday and/or Saturday night at the Pere Marquette lodge.
We are asking for a donation of $10/person or a maximum $30 per family to help offset costs.
