Bishop Johnson

This weekend will be a joyous one for Episcopalians in Eastern Missouri, and Holy Communion especially. The Rev. Deon K. Johnson will be consecrated as the 11th bishop of Missouri. His consecration marks a series of “firsts” for our church. He is the first black person, the first openly gay person, and the first immigrant to be elected bishop of Missouri.

On Sunday the Bishop is at Holy Communion:

It also just so happens that Bishop Johnson will make his first visitation to Holy Communion the very next day. Our new bishop will be our preacher and celebrate.

You are invited to participate in the service as it happens from our website, Facebook, or YouTube.

After the service, Bishop Deon will be with us for virtual coffee hour, and our rector will lead us in a conversation with him. You will receive the sign in information for virtual coffee hour if you receive our regular email updates.
