First steps back into the building
Going forward pre-registration will not be required. You have the option to sign up online before the service or in person once you arrive for contact tracing purposes.
Worship Options
Through the summer we will provide several options for worship, allowing us time to learn together again how to gather, to make room for those who are still unable to be vaccinated. We hope to increase the number of people allowed in each service as the virus numbers come down, and as we become used to the practices in place in the building.
Our Primary worship will remain online at 10:30am each Sunday.
Online remains the safest way to worship at this time. We will continue to emphasize the online experience, even as more of the service will be broadcast live on Sunday mornings from the church.
8am service of Holy Eucharist in person
We strongly encourage those who choose to attend in person to be vaccinated if they are able.
Masks and 6 feet of Social Distance will be required. Seating has been spaced out to help.
Sign in is required.
The service will be kept short for safety reasons.
(See full list of Covid practices, which will be emailed to you if you preregister).
10:30 service of Morning Prayer in person
10:30 will remain a service of morning prayer and the “primary” audience will be online. This is to provide options for those who are comfortable and not comfortable with communion, and to help us keep services short.
We will hold outdoor services of Eucharist one Sunday each month at 4pm through October
There has been good attendance at these services, and they allow far more people than we could comfortably allow in the church at this time.
Summer holidays mean these will alternate between First and Second Sundays. (Click for a full list)
Kids and Worship
Children are still the largest group in our parish who cannot be vaccinated.
Our Pandemic Task Force, which is advising on procedures, includes two respected local pediatricians. They continue to advise us to practice utmost care with kids.
Children age 6 and older will be required to wear masks.
We will make children’s bulletins available at all in-person services, and services will be kept short.
At this time we will not re-institute children’s chapel, the nursery, or a “soft space” in the church in order to maintain social distancing. We hope to be able to return to all of these, when the doctors tell us they are safer.
Godly Play and Wonder Play will continue online on Saturday mornings.
Outside Groups
We are currently working with outside groups to determine our procedures.
